ALL ABOUT THE DIAPRAGM WALL GRAB
The diaphragm wall grab (clamshell) is part of the excavating system for diaphragm walls built underground starting from the surface.
Multiple variations of the diaphragm wall grab equipment are to crater to the most demanding projects, with grab extensions for a total length of 4 to 16 m available, also with extra ballast to reach a total weight of up to 35 ton. The excavtion in the grab equipment is mostly carried out by 'jaws', that may be rectangular or round in shape. The Grabs are generally manufactured of high wear resistant steels and can be manufactured in every required execution capacity and weight.
